What a brilliant weekend it was for all RTB teams again this weekend with all teams getting anther 3 points under their belt.
First off this weekend saw our Under 14s taking on local rivals Marple Athletic away. The girls knew from last season this was a very tough team they were going to come up against as they were a team who beat them last year and saw them gain promotion with our gils.
This time though our girls were the team to come up on top with a fantastic 5v2 win with goals from Holly B x 4 and Harriet P.
The girls were worthy winners with their 1- 2 touch football they played and working as a whole team to ensure the result was not repeated like last year.
The 2nd game saw our Under 13s 9v9 team play a very well organised Prestwich All Stars.
It started a little slowly for the girls, knocking on the door in the early stages. But the girl had to be patient and ensure they continued to battle and work there passing with we have focused on very closely in training.
the girls eventually got the breakthrough after 20 mins of the first half seeing our new signing Abi Poulton score the opener.
The girls finished off 8v4 winners and looked very comfortable the more the game went on,The goals come from Abi P x2, Freya W x3, Grace Q, Amy H, Ava P. The girls continue their 100 percent record in the league continuing to learn each week and looking like a strong team forming,
The last game of the afternoon was our 11v11 Under 13s, who took on Reddish Villa Reds at our home ground William Scholes Playing Fields. It was a bit of a rough start for our girls who quickly went 1v0 down. But these girls quickly showed their character not letting this bother them quickly getting the equalising goal through on form striker Millie Knights. it was a tight game seeing it 1v1 at half time. With a few instructions given by the coaching staff, to continue the passing and continue being positive in front of goal the girls were successful by full time with a hat trick from Millie K and Emily W winning 4v1.
The girls will continue working hard in training this week as they take on ,
U13 9v9 - Wigan (away)
U13 11v11 - Stockport Dynamos (away)
U14 - AFC Stanley (away)
Good Luck to all the girls.
