What an amazing weekend for our girls in the Blackpool tournament with all 3 teams entered reaching the finals.
It was the start of a busy schedule of tournaments this weekend for our girls, with 2 under 13 teams entered and a under 14s team entered in a under 15 age group.
Both under 13 teams progressing to the semi finals after finishing 1st and 2nd in the table, our Raise the Barr team beating Chester united 3v0 and our RTB team beating Blackpool in an exciting penalty shootout. Both teams meeting each other in the final.
Even thou all these girls are team mates, today saw them going against each other and what a brilliant game of football it was to watch with RTB sneaking in a brilliantly created cross and headed finish by Layla Woollam.

On to the Under 14s who finished unbeaten 2nd in the league on goal difference. They met a strong team in the semis but with there slick passing and finishing saw them progress into the final.
The final saw them up against a Kader team also unbeaten in the league it was a tough game with the girls going down a goal. the girls battled and ensured they got what they deserved a equalising Goak in the last minuet taking it to penalties.
The girls were looking tired and sore after what was a very physical game but stepped up brilliantly in the shootout l, unfourthey though for us one penalty was missed meaning we missed out again in a penalty shootout.
overall the girls finishing 2nd in the tournament playing a full year up, this is a massive achievement for our girls and just shows how amazing they are.
