Week One for our Under 14s was very difficult for the girls even though the football they played was brilliant and was not worthy of the score, a line was drawn under it and work commenced in the week with hard work put in by all players at training.

This week the girls faced Signol at their home ground William Scholes Playing Field.
The girls came out all guns blazing going a few goals up early on settling the nerves for everyone. though out the game saw brilliant build up play, creative play and hard battling not allowing the boys any room to breath. The girls at the end of 70 Mins were comfortable winners 8v1 with goals coming from a brilliant hat trick from Leah, Libby x2, Layla and Lily Mae.
Manager Amanda Barr and Assistant Manager Rick Taylor said after the game " It was fantastic for the girls to get what they deserved this week, after a tough week last week it shows how resilient they are and we are sure through the season we will see more of this. It is amazing to see the girls striving through their experiences and getting better and better each week we watch them"
Next week the girls are away facing Div 5 league winners of last year Marple Athletic. We know this is a tough game but we can't wait to see what this brings.
