Good 1st Weekend in 2023

Some of the girls were back on the field of dreams after the Christmas break. And all back to winning ways in the league.

After what felt like a long Christmas break from football for us all. We are back at it starting off on the Saturday with a long trip to Nottingham to face Nottingham Forest U16 in the Juniour Premier Leauge with our fantastic Under 15s.

It was like the girls had never stopped for the break, with some lovely team play, great team goals and some Immense performances individually the girls came home with a whopping 9v0 victory. Credit to be mentioned to the Nottingham Forest Goalkeeper for keeping the score down to single figures with a great performance.

Onto Sunday which saw our Under 12s take on a tough challange against a very strong looking upper mill. The girls got off to a quiet start but grew Into the game. Showing their fitness, determination and willpower to win 8v0 . This performance once one for on lookers to enjoy and showed how the girls are really jelling and becoming a great team. We are all so excited to see these girls grow together.

And lastly for our under 15/14 who had the chance to play on the amzing local ground of Macclesfield Men Fc in a evening kick off.

The girls took thr experience by the scruff of the neck as a lot of the club members came to cheer the girls on, playing some amazing football, using the pitch so well and some great combination play within the game.

We did get a cheer as the ball was put sweetly in the back of the net by on form Layla Woollam but that was short lived after the referee saw a foul in the build up play. We thought luck had broke again a short while after as Haz hit a peach of a strike that rattled the cross bar. And some great goalkeeping from both goalkeepers to keep the score

0v0 at the final whistle.

A big thankyou to Macclesfield FC for hosting this great opportunity for our girls to

Play at an amazing ground with a very special touch turning our dug out purple.

The Girls continue to Work hard for another busy weekend of football.
