Another Weekend Of Wins

This weekend saw our 9v9 team without a fixture, our under 13s winning a very tough game vs Signol and Our under 14s winning comfortably against Reddish North End.

The Under 13s were away this week at local rivals Signol Boys. We knew this was going to be a tough game after competing against them last year in the 9v9 league. The girls got off to a tricky start going 3v1 down after just 20mins. But with grit and determination the girls got it back to 3v3 at half time with great worked goals from Millie x2 and Ava Bush. The Girls knew after their half time talk with the Managers Lee and Simeon there was work to do and it was going to be a hard battle to ensure they got the win, With a cracking 2nd half from the RTB goalkeeper Izzy knights keeping them in the game with some amazing 1v1 and quick reaction saves the girls went on to be victorious, winning 5v4, 2nd half goals coming from Ava Bushell and 11v11 debutant Abi Poulton.

The girls in the end deserved the win showing amazing character and team work when it could have so easily gone the other way for the girls 3v1 down.

As for the Under 14s they were at home to Reddish North End Boys, this was a tight physical game but the girls fitness took over which was rewarded when Holly B calmly slot home the opening goal.

The girls continued to press, playing 1,2 touch football with amazing combination play and went on to score another 6 goals and in the end comfortably winning 7-1. The goals which were all well taken came from Rebecca Clayton, Holly Bradshaw x4, Millie Lowe on her debut and our Captain Harriet Purslow.

Amanda and Rick were extremely pleased with the performance and commented " this is the sign of a team with amazing fitness levels and desire, the football is lovely to watch and these girls amaze us every week with their performances,"

Well Done to all teams who played this week and keep up the hard work.
