The Girls took a bit of a set back this weekend as both our 11v11 Under 13s, Under 14s team have suffered a defeat. With our 9v9 Under 13s continuing their winning streak
The Under 14s travel away to Reddish North End, the girls have played this team before so knew they were on for a very very hard game and we wasn't wrong. The girls went down by a goal early after a free kick was hit into the sun and the keeper lost sight of the ball. The girls battled for the rest of the game, but couldn't get the break needed to equalise. The girls ended up losing 2v0.
The Under 13s 11v11 were at home to local rivals Cheadle and Gatley, again have played these before so knew they were in for a tough game. The girls battled and worked hard but again couldn't get the break they needed and ended with a 1v0 defeat.
The Under 13 9v9 team however continued their winning streak after beating local rivals winton 3v1 with goals from Ella B, Freya W and Amy. This sees them comfortably sitting at the top of the table.
