The girls this weekend were away in bury against a very strong and well organised Westbury Girls FC, they were worthy winners 5v2 showing strong characteristics through the game.
The Girls had a slight set back before the start of the game with mix up in times allowing only a very short warm up and illness striking to our captain Scarlett Thompson.
But that didn't stop the girls, with Alannah taking role of captain the girls quickly got into the game and demonstrated even though they were a new group of girls playing with each other, they were able to pass and play with fantastic tempo and great determination to win with a cracking opening goal from Amy Hunter, followed by great team goals from Kelley O Shay, Abi Poulton, Esme Gibbo and Elin Holding.
The girls were made to work hard with fantastic performance from our stand in goal keeper Layla Wollham, and some strong performances at the back by Alannah, Ella B and Chloe.
Manager Danni Maslin-Barr and Assistant Justin Hunter were very pleased and commented "After only just the first week together fully after registration trouble, we thought the team did great . It was great to see everyone take on board the RTB ways showing determination and drive to be the best. With some great build up play it shows what these girls might be able to achieve together. Its exciting to see what the future holds."
Next week the girls are at home to Prestwhich were hopefully they can continue their unbeaten run. Well done to our Under 13s.
